Bush ain't "the decider." 
I'm a voter. I decide.

In April of 2006, when President Bush was under pressure to replace Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, he told reporters, "I hear the voices, and I read the front page, and I know the speculation. But I'm the decider, and I decide what is best. And what's best is for Don Rumsfeld to remain as the secretary of defense."

That is the origin of this now-famous line. Of course, what Bush was forgetting was that he is not a dictator. He is an elected representative of the people. Ultimately, the people will decide what is best. And that day can't come soon enough for most of us.
