E-mail addresses for elected representatives of Flagstaff, Arizona

I have found a better venting device (than a letter to the editor) is to write directly to the Mayor, Council, City Manager, County Sups, County Manager, School board, School Superintendent etc. by e-mail. I've collected their e-mail addresses over time in many cases direct my issues to them, leaving other more public media out of the loop. I think they prefer it too, because I actually get fairly good responses.

I think this works better for a host of reasons. Public officials never forget that an e-mail represents about 100 people. A faxed letter may represent about 500 opinions, and an actual mailed letter these days (although not in favor because of bio-terror issues) can represent more than 1000 people's opinions.

It also keeps them and their public decisions out of the public eye and allows them to have a better conversation with constituents.

This would give frequent letter writers a better and more direct avenue to the decision makers.

The above comments were submitted by Bruce Kennedy. Kennedy also supplied most of the e-mail addresses below. These addresses are believed to be current as of December 9, 2004. Remember to replace (at) with @ and (dot) with . Also remove spaces before using these addresses.
