Thou shall not steal the election.
Thou shall not lie about the weapons.
Thou shall not kill the innocent.
For I am the Lord,
and you make me sick!
I designed this sticker after the disappointing
2004 election. At the time, the media was making much of the fact that exit
polls indicated many voters had voted for George W. Bush rather than John Kerry
because these voters felt Bush shared their "moral
values."
Of course, for
many who supported Kerry, the idea that Bush exemplifies any kind of moral
values is almost incomprehensible.
Probably,
what Bush supporters really mean when they talk about moral values is that Bush
is an evangelical Christian. They also often mean he opposes abortion and
same-sex marriage.
Never mind that
Kerry also professes to be a Christian. Apparently, Kerry's Catholicism is not
good enough. And apparently, allowing a woman to have a choice about her body
and her life is far worse than bombing the hell out of another country for no
good reason. And heaven forbid we allow two people of the same sex to marry.
Next thing you know, people would want to marry their
pets!
